My Inspiration from Louise Bougeois

My sculptures were influenced by Louise Bougeois's work and I respect her work because she explores the same themes through different media. Personally, I enjoy that kind of investigation. Her artwork has an interesting use of people from her past. Her sculptures are very amusing and they show expressions of human empathy. Louise Bougeois uses many different kinds of materials to give her sculptures and drawings new meaning and life. This use of materials is inspiring because of its patterns, textures and patterns. One specific sculture, Cell XIV, Portrait, 2000, is the one that impacts me the most. It shows three split personalities through three different emotions. The color of this sculpture is a bright crimson red and it reflects the emotions on the faces.
